I cannot believe HK claims to have discontinued the expert, as they are obviously still making them

My new carry gun-

I hate .40 S&W, but for $550, I couldn't pass it up.

It was used, but unfired.

An amazing freaking deal. I had to buy it.

It's grown on me, and has become my daily carry gun, after 300 flawless rounds.

Added a P2000SK 9mm to go with my P30 9mm. Both are V3's.

The only thing I would want changed on this gun is the very rearward location of the slide release, but I can work around it.  Just about perfect!

Added an HK45CT to the collection, sold USP and P30 AND dressed up MR223 with new Acog VCOG.
Pretty, no?

Don't hate - this bitch doubles as an M2A3 Bradley chock block, and a semi-mobile artillery piece.....when I hold it, I feel like my dick is 23 inches long.......which I'm pretty sure is why they call it the "Mark 23".

I have the same rear sight but with the 10-8 front tritium on my P30. Love the combo, wish they made it for the P2000.

love the rear sight, the front sight is a little blurry, not as refined as the trijicons but it works.

My first HK....

Link Posted: 9/18/2014 2:10:11 PM EDT
[#40]

The first HK I bought, the one that started the disease. USP Compact .40, 2008 date code. Bought in 2009. Carried often, mainly as a woods gun nowadays. It has spent time everywhere from my EDC to Nightstand duty. For a brief 6 month period in 2010 it was also the only gun I owned after selling everything else off for a job move. It has never once had a malfunction

I have been thinking about adding a USP45 to my collection as prices are fairly low right now on used units

I love these 2, USPc .40 and USP Expert .40!  Both are stamped Trussville, Alabama.  They hold a special place in my heart since I used to live in Trussville.
