I have no idea what I am looking at, but it looks rare and expensive. And very cool.

There are no .45 P9 pistols to the best of my knowledge.  The .45s were all P9S guns.

Sometimes it's hard to see in pics whether or not there's an S on the slide, but the dead giveaway is the distinctive P9 oval, no-bump trigger guard and more curved trigger.

I became the proud owner of a Mark 23 last year. I've wanted this pistol since I was a teen in the late 90's when I received Metal Gear Solid and a Playstation for Christmas. I plan on getting a rail adaptor, one of those new Steiner Class 1 IR/visible light/laser units, and a SilencerCo Osprey sound suppressor for it soon, along with having Reign Tactical make a custom holster for it that can work on MOLLE/PALS webbing or a belt.

Haha..   I know YOU'VE seen that pair, over there.  I bet those and a giant chunk of my wallet might get us talking about that P7M7
You could post under ANY name, and I'd know that portfolio.

This P7 and the mags received Robar's NP3 finish.  It's just the way the light hits them that makes the mags appear as if they have a darker finish.

Status pistol of choice for 1980's action-flic terrorists.

How can one know if a purchased gun has that particular finish. I bought a "nickel" PSP from GB, with the same Nils grips that my Jubilee's have. The frame and slide themselves are flawless, but the mags have a little chipping going on, where there is contact with the frame.

Beautiful, Clausewitz! So are you going to tell us the story of how you came by a P7M7? Does ANYONE else outside of the museum have one?

Do you actually own the M7? I thought HK had possession of all of them still.

Yes, I own it.

My chapter of the story isn't very interesting.  I met someone who had it and wanted to sell it, so I bought it.

Hahaha....  Alrighty then, we would like to hear the story of the guy who owned it BEFORE you?  SOMEwhere, that escaped into the wild.

Well, I don't know about the "nickel" finish, but I keep Robar's work order for the NP3 and the payment receipt with the P7, so if the next buyer has any questions, there's the proof. Plus, I added the Trijicons and still have the receipt for those. The original 3-dot sights I also keep with the gun  - again, so the next buyer can have them.
