Lol, thanks man.  That Python unfortunately has light pitting on about 10% of the gun.  You can't really see it in the pics but it's there.  The grips are really beautiful but also have some wear.  That said, if the lights aren't really bright you'll fall into that deep royal blue .  She's probably going on Gunbroker soon once I figure out what I want for it.

I still want to add a Series 70 Gold Cup in 45 and a Series 70 Combat Commander in 9mm

the black stocks with medallion look nice on the nickle. might have to hunt something similar for my nickle 29-2

I do.  They're half the fun of these old guns.  That and 95% of all original colt grips are fugly as hell.

Thought I would update this since I got a new pony.  I pulled the grips off my Government and put them on the new to me commander along with some Peirce finger grooves.  Put some ebony grips I had laying around on the Government until I find something I like better.
