Picked this up from the local gun shop today.  Series 70 9mm Colt 1911, born in 1975.  It's in better shape than I could have imagined. No slide stop scratch, no scratches or dings in the blueing.  I did a detail strip/clean but it was already pretty much perfect.  Enjoy the pics.  This one will sit in between a series 70 Gold Cup and a 1943 Colt.

Very nice, I had a .38 Super just like it. I could kick myself for trading it off.

And to think I hesitated for a moment on buying it.  Then I thought "when am I ever going to find a really nice series 70 again?  And in 9mm?  I'll buy every one of them I see like this!

I paid $1166 out the door after tax and felt good about it.  After tearing it apart and seeing how good of shape it was in, I feel really good about it.

Very nice !!! I;ve been looking for a 9mm for a while now.
Go get yourself a 70 series 38 super to shore up the collection now.

I actually have a series 80 in .38 super, but if I can find a 70 series I will scoop it up.
