Anybody use the non captive recoil springs for Glocks?  Thoughts?

I like Wolff springs, but I have no need to change spring weights so I use OEM RSAs. I played with changing springs several years ago and had issues with a 14 lb spring in a Glock 21.

Unless you are experimenting with really hot or weak loads they are pretty much a solution to a nonexistent problem

While I don't use Wolff specifically, I use 15 pound springs in 19's and 13 pound in 17 and 34's.

Changes the recoil pulse drastically and causes no negative functioning issues.

IMO, Wolff springs are not consistent enough for a Glock.   A 16lb spring from them may be anything from 15-19lbs.

I used them in 1911s for years, but they didn't cut it in Glocks for me.

If I were going aftermarket, I'd look at Sprinco

So my bigger question, is captured or uncaptured.  I have some Lonewolf SS guid rods, and springs. I've shot em a little, and so far so good.  However I see a lot of uncaptured, and and curious.   Thanks.

I don't see the point with uncaptured unless you'll change spring weights a lot.
