The reviews are split 50/50 from "best ever" to "crapped out after one mag".  Have any of y'all used em? Are they any good after the warranty is up?

I want one for my G19 and G43.

What sayeth the hive?

I have one.  It falls the fuck apart after a shot or two.  It has been warrantied at least once in its lifetime.

I will not buy another unless they have done something with the design to keep the cap on the tube.

Go ahead and try one, don't buy two.  See how long it lasts while actually shooting.  Maybe I will buy one for my Glock if you post results.  It may be best to sell it before the warranty ends and just keep replacing it.

That's what I was a afraid of. I had a CT lasergrip on the 27 I sold but didn't like how it made the grip fatter. I like the TLR lights/lasers but they don't fit my holsters.

I really, really wanted one, until a friend bought one and, just like Wild Earp, had to return it multiple times before he finally sold it to another sucker.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. I'm looking at the Ameriglo Hackathorn sights now. I know, apples and oranges and all that. I just want something that works, and they have high marks from the Hive.

I truly appreciate it. This is the best damn place on Earf to get insight and info.

I guess they were designed to be carried and pointed at the bad guy once or twice, but not actually subjected to recoil.  I don't see how they are still in business if they haven't improved their design.  They are certainly too fucking expensive to be a consumable.

Right now I need a replacement factory guide rod and a take down lever.  My brother needs to look in his junk bin for the old parts, but I bet they are long gone.

They are a great idea, but not so great design.

Picked one up from a buddy for my Sig p239. Now discontinued.
There's a reason it was discontinued.  When it worked it was genius.
The company did me a solid and traded the defective laser for a rail mount laser.
I stuck that on my AR and it seams to work fine.

I think there was a few cases where they broke inside the gun, making it unable to fire. I think that could be a slight problem.

A lot of people bought them - they ran huge glossy ads in every gun rag for like 15 years

This fits my theory that most gun owners never shoot a gun

I have one Lasermax.  Bought it on a whim when I first started my current Glock fixation.  I've owned it for about 7 years, and it still has the original batteries.

It's on my Glock 20.  Has well over 2000 rounds of tactical nuke rounds through it (Double Tap, Buffalo Bore), and still works as advertised.

Gimmick?  Yes.  But I have no complaints.

Yes, old Lone Wolf.  Has the stupid logo on the breach block.

Seems to shoot fine...

I have one that was installed in a Glock 22.  It saw a few hundred rounds without any problems.  Took it out due to preferring open sights and point shooting.  It was handy learning trigger control on a pistol.

I've had my Lasermax guide rod laser sight for about eight years now.  Never had a problem with it.  Shot thousands of rounds through my Glock 19 gen 3 with it installed.  It is very accurate and durable.  I change out the batteries yearly.  Worth every cent.

I have one in a Glock 19 without any issues. My one gripe is the batteries, since they are only available online. For the battery reason alone, I intend to part with mine and get something that uses a cr2032 type battery. You want a guide rod laser OP?

Thanks, but think I'm going with Ameriglo Hackathorn sights. They get high marks here and elsewhere, and are unlikely to cause me to rend my garments and gnash my teeth.

This is my experience.  Same round count and never failed on me.

I guess it's the luck of the draw.  Wait for a sale, buy it up, and then see what you think.  You will see quickly, I imagine.

Ive had one on my Glock 33.  Its my duty weapon and we qualify 6 times a year.  I also put in lots of extra rounds to the tune of 4 5000 rounds.  Ive had my guiderod laserr over 10 years and never a blip  im going to pickup a green one for my 30 or 19 soon.

Very happy with mine.

I had one for about 4 years i used to swap it between 2 g19's  and 2 g23's helps alot teaching people to shoot. Watching the laser as they dry fired it was easy to make corrections. downside i would go though batteries about every two months ( i used to shoot alot). and they where hard to find. I eventually found them at walgreens pharmacy in the hearing aid dept.. Also had to clean the lense about every 150 rounds and seeing the laser dot in daylight was tough. I owned a gen 1 crimson trace grip in the same time period and it was easier to see but made me hate the grip due to the angle change. Sold both off due to money needs.

i have one on a g20 (bought it that way [was a steal at $500, looked like it was never fired... but didn't come with the factory slide lock or guide rod] ).  i figured i'd shoot it until it failed and then i'd replace it with a steel guide rod.  but it never failed or had any problems (yet).  i only put about 1k rounds though it, though (but they were underwood, so...)

tl;dr - i was suspicious, but it's done well.  it's fairly pointless on a g20.  it's done well enough where i've debated getting one for a g19 (edc), but never did.  so imo, they work but aren't worth $250.
