depends on the calibre. My agency uses the 147 grain 9mm but for those of us with .45's we shoot a 185 grain +p at 1150 fps. good compromise. it's heavy but still pretty fast. In any event our last few shooting's with them have had devastating results on the bad guys.

When I hunt pigs here I either use CorBon 200s at 1000 in a 45 or a 44 with 300 gr cast at 1200.Completely different but each deadly.Our pigs only go up to 200# here.

I take the middle ground. First I go with the 40. Then I go with the 155's.
