I forgot to reset my chrony from a previous test so unfortunately I don’t have any velocity data on them. Shot from a Glock 23 at a distance of 10 feet. The two rounds in bare gel penetrated 16 and 17inches and expanded to .636 and .601 inches. One round through heavy clothing penetrated to 19 inches and expanded to .582

Carried this round for many years, I still have some of the original design hydra shoks in 155 grain. 155 is my favorite weight but I get a pretty good deal on 165 jhp for reloading so after all these years I am moving to the 165 grainers.

I also carried this 155 Hydra Shok for a while in my G23. It was a good, accurate load and somewhat mild and I shot it well. I believe it chrono'd under 1100 fps. I even shot some through a windshield into wetpack. I like 155 and 165 loads but not when they are at 1200 fps. And it was reported to have good a good "street record".
