Just picked up an FN FNX9 and need to stock up on some 9mm. Just saw this at Widener's: https://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=100001881&dir=

Anybody shot any of this? I know around here they like the 5.56 IMI makes, but I heard bad things about the "subgun" IMI 9mm Widener's was selling. I think this is different than that stuff though.

All I can say is IMI  is the best out there.      shoot 200 rounds of 77 gr  5.56  over the weekend.

Fine imo. Personally for range ammo I'd buy the 115grain at $20 less, but to me it's either/or between them.

Thanks! Yeah I'll probably go for the 115s.

I just got a case of the 115. I'm going to try and get some made into empty brass this weekend.

I noticed the 115 was plated rather than jacketed. Is the 124 the same? Because I would rather pay more for jacketed.

isn't the IMI 9mm the ammo I hear with hard primers? Someone will chime in, but just to make sure before someone FO's

They only give that warning on the extar stuff. 115 and 124 claim to be gtg on all 9mm.

Where'd you see it listed as 'plated'..? From the Widener's site:

All three flavors ran in my M&P and EVO. Just wouldn't buy the EX-star :)

IMI 115gr. FMJ runs 100% in my Glocks.  Good stuff and a great price.

I ran some of the 115gr IMI in my CZ 75B and it functioned flawlessly although it seemed a bit hotter than other range/practice ammo i've used.

Thanks for the excellent video. It looked like the 124 FMJ had less spread in velocity, maybe 20fps variation from highest to lowest while the 115 FMJ had about 60 fps spread. Have you experienced more consistency or accuracy from the 124?

I bought some of the 115 FMJ and it shot great. I may try the 124 next.

I only usually buy a few boxes of it, and as far as accuracy goes, as long as it doesn't keyhole that's sufficient enough for me. :D

Just shot 200 rounds of the 115 FMJ and 50 rounds of the ex-star through a G19 and aRuger LC9s.  No miss fires or any problems noted.

After the excellent review by Buffman, I bought a few (cases). I compared the 115 FMJ and the 124 FMJ in my Glock 17 and 43. Both shot 100% with zero malfunctions. Both are  accurate and a little hotter than typical plinking FMJ. I am using this to replenish my older stash of ammo. I'd like to try the IMI 158 FMJ one day.

The more of this (115gr FMJ) I shoot, the more I like it.  948 rounds so far through a G19.  The only issue I had was that the slide did not lock back on the last round once, but it could have been an issue with the magazine.  I recently joined a range and am now shooting every week, so I have stocked up on this stuff.  Just like its ad says, I tried it and it HAS become my go-to 9mm 115gr FMJ ammo.

If you are comfortable  shooting +P JHP from your FN.... this is a heck of a good deal... ( Free shipping if you order a case )

Its cost per 1000 rds is slightly more after you account for Wideners shipping costs.... this costs only about 50 bucks more.

Kind of a double duty thing for myself.... decent JHP, fair priced, and I don't mind +P.
