That is they're policy, has been for a few years. I didn't have a problem with it, and they have always been great to do business with.

AIM is a great company, when I first ordered ammo from them back in 2008 I had to scan my DL and email it to them. I have since made many purchases and have not had a single issue.

Great company to deal with.  You won't regret sending them your license.....and they only need it once.

Not required by law but not a bad CYA for them.  It is safe with them.  Buy with confidence.

Agree AIM is good to go, you wont have any issues. I picked up an RMR from them about 6 months ago(for a wicked low price too) and they actually made me show photo id proving I was 18 years old or older. No biggie, just email them a pic of your license or ccw and they'll take care of you.

It has been their policy at least since I started dealing with them in 2007.
The DL thing made me nervous and put me off too, but I eventually took the leap and sent it to them. Nothing but smooth sailing since then. They are a great company and very helpful and easy to deal with.

DL and FOID here. Doesn't bother me, I'd buy from them anytime.

Aim is a good company, but so are many others that do not require me to provide a copy of my driver's license in order to purchase ammunition.

So I do business with these others.

I have had other companies do this, guess its just a way to verify age, doesn't really bother me.

That is my assumption as well. You need it to buy ammo or anything else firearm related that has an age requirement from them.

Aim does that. They are awesome though. Buy with confidence

I did this with them almost a decade ago when they first started selling online.  I remember buying radway green SS109 ammo for $100-900rounds.  AIM is good to go!

Aim is great to do business with. Since they moved to Monroe on American Way my wallet has weighed less

I drive past American Way almost weekly depending on what job/s I'm on.

Yep! That's some of the first ammo I bought from them IIRC. That and South African and Portuguese 7.62x51. Less than $150 per 1,000 round case. *Sigh*.

That is the result of a lawsuit years ago.

You'll find that most online vendors require a copy of your Driver's License and/or a copy of your FFL (if you have one) for ammo.
