I am installing tritium sights on an M&P Shield and shaved a bit too much off of the front sight base while fitting it.
What can I do to make it fit securely?  It is not loose when centered, but i don't trust it.

Take a prick punch and turn the sight upside down in your vise.  Put a couple of dimples near the edge of the dovetail.  This should help swage the metal out enough to tighten it back up.   Go lightly at first until you get a snug fit.  The metal is soft and it's easy to make a dimple too deep.  Once you get it fitting tight, add a pair of suspenders to your belt with a bit of red Loctite.
