I'm looking at getting some fiber optic sights from 10-8 to replace the factory sights on my Shield 9mm.

Was curious if anyone has any personal experience with these particular sights and if there is a preference on front sight width and rear sight notch width. Given the shorter barrel length, I'm considering the .115" f/s and the .140" r/s versus the other larger one.

According to my research so far, I've only found a few reviews and only one where the author states he prefers having a narrow front sight with the widest rear sight notch possible as to obtain an immediate sight picture while allowing ample light between the aligned sights.

Thanks.

Thank you both for your replies. This will be my first set of fiber optic sights so I want to do my due diligence before I make a purchase. I will check out Dawson.

Both are generally regarded as solid solutions for M&P sights. I've had 10-8 but no Dawson, and the 10/8's I ran on my M&P 9c were an all around good setup. Front sight (I believe) was .125 and rear was .140. I found this to be a good balance of speed and precision.

One thing I will say, the 10-8 rear sights I've had were all generously sized, and had to be fitted. Ameriglos and trijicons were no problem.
