Question for the hive:

Will a .22lr barrel fit and function in a 9mm slide, pending correct recoil spring/extractor?  I've got a spare m9 slide lying around that I'd like to give a purpose.

Fit yeas,

function, probably not.....   but you could try..... beretta 92 slides have a  ton of metal removed, so it may be light enough, but you also may need to lighten it more.....    worse case you have a single shot, but that would be pretty impressive suppressed.......

typical 22 kit slides are aluminum and much much lighter weight.......

Also firing pin location cf vs rf will be an issue. Cost and effort to tinker and mod would easily exceed buying a conversion kit

Gotcha, that's kinda what I figured.

So, in that case, what should I do with the extra slide!
