I found a NOS m9 barrel on ebay for 60$ shipped so ordered it as a spare.

Its a litte different then the factory barrel. Besides the cage codes and parkerized finish it has a thicker portion ahead of the chamber.

That shouldn't effect function should it? It fits and cycles by hand fine, i may get to the range todayto test it out.

Thanks, i was 99.9% sure it would be fine.

I was more curious about the heavier barrel portion. Seems that the chamber is a little heavier, then about an inch forward there is another one. Ill try to post pics of the two barrel but its raining now, and my phone camera sucks.

Yea, I just found blood donors thread from 01/14

Turns out this is a fn barrel. Ill see how it shoots. If its the same Ill keep it in. If not it will be a spare.

Does anyone know who makes the locking block on fn barrels and how they compare to Berettas? I have a spare beretta block.

I have one of these barrels on a Franken 92 I put together.  It is indeed made by FN. Not sure about the locking block,  but mine shoots very well.  They have a better finish,  albeit a shade of gray,  than factory barrels. They just look a bit off due to incomplete machining on one side[;D.

It shoots really well.

I dont shoot from rests or measure groups with handguns but im very pleased with the accuracy. Function was normal
