$870 for a M9 with better ergos...no thanks.
Don't get me wrong I like the M9, however for that price I can get 2 Glock 19's and I won't have the issue of short locking block life and one of if not the worste strigger return spring designs ever created. |

So you like it but think it's got really badly designed parts. OK. Makes sense......

I ended up buying a used beat up Taurus PT92 so I can get my fix until the M9A3 comes out. I think the M9A3 will be worth the wait, just sucks having to wait.

Looks like I'll buy a brigadier this year and wait until next year around this time to be told it will be ready for Dec 1 yet again for fuck's sake. Hopefully with a lower price tag. Damn my lust for that damn gun

Hmmm.... $890 is more reasonable than the $950 or 1000 quoted a bit back. Anyone know if there are dealers/distributors with mil/LEO individual discount on these?

Because the smaller frame makes it more approachable for more shooters, and the add-on grip gives you the same palm swell as an option? Kind of a no-brainer if you ask me, I'd be OK with them going this way for the whole line. Wonder why they removed the palm swell on the backstrap. I know it's personal preference, but it's a trend that has disqualified quite a few pistols from my consideration. They feel like shit without it IMHO. Because the smaller frame makes it more approachable for more shooters, and the add-on grip gives you the same palm swell as an option? Kind of a no-brainer if you ask me, I'd be OK with them going this way for the whole line. I just put a deposit down on an A3 with a significantly lower final price than MAP IMO the palm swell was fine. The Beretta 92FS has a wider grip and that swell makes it more stable in my hands. The vertec profile makes sense on a slim gun like a 1911, but not so much on a Beretta. I'd prefer a removable backstrap, because the grip option limits you to one piece grips. Can't use grips for a regular 92FS, i.e. aftermarket aluminum/G10. |

Does anybody know what the release is going to look like? Are we going to see the A3 in stores or are they going to be an order off the internet type of thing?

So is this a 'pre orders might ship in December and then everyone else can order and wait until march to get it shipped' kind of thing? Or whats the deal when they start to ship/become available?

Beretta USA posted this on their facebook 8 hours ago.
"Beretta M9A3 pistol is now shipping to retailers nationwide. http://www.beretta.com/en-us/beretta-m9a3-handgun-now-shipping/" Their website lists the MSRP as $1099.00 http://www.beretta.com/en-us/m9a3/ I'm a little torn between the M9A3 and the Wilson Combat 92G. I've never held a vertec frame, and never held a Brigadier slide. So each one has an unknown to it... But man, that tab color on the A3 is terrible. I don't live in a desert and that's totally useless to me. I'm also a little miffed with the "next generation military pistol" line they keep throwing around. This isn't the M9 I used in service, and it isn't slated to get used by anyone in the military... pure sales gimmick. It's pretty nice for what it is on its own merits... why play games? I'm going to hold off on purchasing either one for a while until I can see them in person. -Cory |

I been waiting for this gun for over a year. I also been following and posting on this thread a lot. I should of pre ordered but I wanted to see what would happen. I checked everywhere today and I could not get one ordered. Most of my LGSs could not even find the gun in their systems. Sad day.
