I have a P226 dark elite that's a great shooter.  The adjustable sights on it are crap though.  There doesn't seem to be any way to keep them from coming loose.  Called customer service and they didn't seem very interested in the problem I was having with the sights so it's been in the safe ever since. I also have a well used P938 that is one of my favorite carry pieces.

Just added another to the collection today...

M11-A1-D in 9mm, complete 229 slide conversion with both .40 and .357sig barrels, 3 mags in 40/357, and 3 mags in 9mm and lastly it had original grips AND crimson trace grips.. Everything OEM sig except the crimson trace grips, price was way to good to be true...Figure that for the price of the .40 slide conversion and the crimson trace grips, and the rest was free.

I'm sure she will adjust fine with her siblings, early 80's w.german P226, P938, C3. I know there will be more in the future.

I've got to get a 9mm P320 full size. I probably won't carry it but it'll be a great range and nightstand gun.

I love my Sigs

229 in .40,   220 10mm, and a 238 .380

I HAD a W. German 220 in .38 Super (don't worry, I was adequately compensated for it on the sale )  ---   after shooting 1911's for years, I figured id shoot the 38 as a novelty, -- got it in a trade bundle.   Holy cow --- the grip frame fit me,   -- 1911's slightly small, Glocks slightly big, but this one was perfect !

When I was offered $1400 for it, I kicked it down the trail -- .38 Super is a fine caliber and a collectible to boot, but I had no need for it ----     Used the proceeds to procure a 229 .40 and several cases of ammo with money left over

I did not have the same love for the double stack 229 , but it is a great shooter

The one thing I don't like is lack of magazine compatibility amongst the models , -----   I was interested in adding a couple of Sig Pro's (2022) to possibly replace my Glocks, but mags are not compatible with the 226 or 229

I will likely add a few more Sigs to the stable, but that facet has always bugged me a little ---------  namely having to keep mags segregated that look almost alike

My 1911's are all gone now -- its just Glocks and Sigs, but as said if the mag issue didn't bug me so much, the Glocks would head down the road as well

This thread and the OP, akconvert needs some Swiss SIGs and some P210's (Swiss made of course).

Starting at noon and going clockwise. Sig Sauer P225 ("Montage Suisse (Swiss assembled)", Bern Canton police gun), SIG P210-2, Swiss military surplus. SIG Sauer W. German P6 (P225). And a SIG P210-1 Swiss military surplus.

229 was and is a fantastic pistol.  I can't speak for the new stuff.

never understood why the glock fanboys loved their Geo Metro's so much.

He must have either bought his duty pistol or bought one for himself as the AZ HP 226 has been replaced by the FNH USA FNS in .40 many months ago.
