I realize the 320 RX has been available at Cabelas for a while, but I'm not a 2 tone guy.

Got a call from my guy at the LGS this morning- they received two P320 RX in 9mm this morning.

Price was $749. I jumped on it.

Initial impressions-  it's a P320. The Romeo 1 has a large FOV and it's easier to pick up the dot than on my RMR-equipped Glocks.

Romeo 1 has the adjustment brightness and auto-on/off, which I really like. I just wish it didn't use the odd CR1632 batteries.

Hoping for a range trip next week!

Yeah they have always been bad about that stuff. They have said they will make them but gave no time frame.

Can you get one with a threaded barrel from the factory?

They may come out with the compact version and a threaded barrel, but there is no threaded barrel yet for the full size.

Did that price included the optic?

I need a 3rd P320 compact like a hole in my head, but I'll definitely be looking for this one.

I would be nice if they came out with conversion kits with a milled slide and optic mounted, but at a proportionate price too.  It would be nice to be able to run a compact gun.  I see the Carry RX is on the way...unknown time line.

Does the dot being so low in the window have any appreciable downside?

It provides a lower 1/3rd cowitness, which keeps the BUIS out of the way until needed.

Dumb question, but when you are normally shooting you would see the dot more closer to the center of the window VS trying to cowitness  correct?   Hope to find one for that price too

The dot and BUIS are to be treated as two separate sighting systems. The micro red dots are parallax free. Once zeroed, whatever the dot is on, is where the bullet goes, regardless of where the dot is in the window.

Cabelas in store has the 2 tone 320rx on sale for $699.  I had a $20 cabela's buck coupon for answer a post purchase survey, so I got it for $679.

I checked one of these out yesterday at Cabelas, very nice. They have a couple in stock but I don't love the reverse two-tone. I'm having trouble finding these online anywhere but GB. Anyone have a line on one?
