Picked up this like new P228 the other day.According to the roll marks it was made in 98..I wanted to put in a new hammer spring so i went to gunsprings.com and ordered up a assortment pack..now on the site it says if you have a older sig buy this set..if you have a newer set with the plastic base, buy these..i'll admit i never took off the grips to look..just figured i'd need the long ones cause its old..so according to the picture i guess i need the newer ones right?

Also..the sights..The pistol came with a 2 dot stack able type..one dot rear, one dot front..after a few rounds i'm finding i like that setup, just not the particular sights..i ordered and had installed these xs sights, which i like,my question is..anyone else make high visibility stack able sights for this pistol?..thanks

Correct, you need the shorter style mainspring.

Heinie or Ameriglo may make sights of the type you want.
