For the money what is the best bang for the buck?
Used P226, P228, new or used 2022 or even a P6  or a new P320

None of the above, IMO. P-226 Tacops with threaded bbl gets my vote, so I bought one. 20rd mags, suppresser ready, what's not to love?

Realistically, if you want a Sig and don't want to spend much, I'd try to find a lightly used police trade-in 226 or 229. You can get them for $450 or so usually, and they'll have night sights. If you're gonna treat yourself to a Sig, you most definitely should get something in the Classic series. No polymer.

To repeat one of my post, I purchased a new TacOps in 9mm for $510 out the door, a discontinued sale at Academy Sports.  While I already have a 226, passing on this deal would be foolish.

I don't know what it is, but the TO shoots a lot better than my standard 26R Sig.  This is one fine pistol.

It is now my bedside go to pistol. Getting ready to order a Streamlight TLR 1 HL for it.

Based on all that I said, I feel the best bang for the buck is a used 226, but my next Sig is going to be a 320 Compact in 9mm

Bang for the buck?  Sig Pro hands down.  I own all of the Sig classics, some with multiples.  But the Sig Pro combines the best of them without the price tag.  Bruce Grey carries one on duty when he works as a police pfficer.  That's a pretty good endorsement :)

For small money new a Sig SP2022 IMHO. For a little more money a (police trade in"s) CPO 226,228,or 229. can't go wrong with any

Nothing wrong with a SP2022. I got mine for $399 shipped with night sights.

229 40 pd turn ins are well under 500...228 9mmslide kits are on ebag for a good deal if you're running a 229 frame already.

It'd be the one you get the most use out of.  P938 or 238 would get my votes.  Small EDC pistols that get carried every day.  I never carry full size pistols, otherwise I'd say a police trade in P226 or a P227.

I have 2 226's and a 320 Compact in 9 with the 40 conversion. The 226's are great guns, but the 320 is the better value. I freaking love it!
