I posted this in another forum, but was in a local Academy Sports yesterday morning to look for .22 ammo and walked out with a brand new TacOps for $538, out the door.  Seems Academy Sports is discontinuing carrying this particular pistol and had it marked down.

I could not let this one get away.  I just purchased a standard 226 last year for $750 that included shipping and transfer fees.  The last one they had, was a display model, but did not have any handling marks.  I asked the guy behind the counter for the box and it did have the other three mags, for a total of four 20 round mags.  Night sights, SRT and front cocking serrations. All of the groceries that come with and on this particular pistol.

Best deal on a gun I have ever made...I was looking for .22 ammo!!!

Oh that is good, I really like a Sig in .40...my bedside gun is a 229 in .40.

This TacOps pistol loaded with .40s would be a beast.

Glad I was able to help by spreading the word...

Just got back from the range for the first gun outing,,,this pistol is brutally accurate. But those 20 round magazines can really put down the groceries. A 100 round value pack from Walmart consumed in four loaded mags and one reload.

All mags functioned without an issue.  The pistol ran through the ammo without any problems.  I cleaned the pistol and lubed real well with Slip 2000 prior to the shooting session.

I am very pleased with the pistol and the great deal

Since this post was made on April fools day I thought at first it was a joke. I guess not.

No sir it is not, that is why I included the receipt.  I have calling and looking around my state for another one, seems they are all gone.  Was at Academy Sports yesterday and the last TO in .40 was in Shreveport, LA and it was sold the day before.

This is a fantastic pistol.

Even better if you work there and get 20% off.

There are also Browning T-Bolt 22 rifles for $350, a Core-15 AR for less than $400, and a couple of HD shotguns out there under $200.
