Drop the short reset trigger parts in that thing and you will experience paradise in a pistol trigger.

my Mk25 thread
Awesome weapon. I've always been a Glock and 1911 guy, but I have Sig, Beretta, HK, and some revolvers. But the Mk25 is just next level. Epitome of the fighting handgun. I carry mine sometimes. Though I usually carry one of three Glocks. Only because the Mk25 is huge lol But there's something to be said about carrying a weapon with 19 rounds plus a reload in my pocket. |

I really like my MK25 as well. I have the black model, but the desert variant looks very nice as well!
I did put the Flat Dark Earth P226 grips on it, the ones as seen on the P226 Combat. Not sure if one would consider that to be an act of sacrilege, but I really like FDE! I also have a black M11-A1 and I would do the same with it if I could find the corresponding grips for it in FDE. If anyone wants to see how the black MK25 looks with the FDE grips I can whip up a picture. |

the short reset and short reach really transform the gun into something special. http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/w424/cfaulkner0006/SAM_0348.jpg View Quote That is something I want to do too. DIY or did you send it in to Sig? What was the process like and cost? Very nice looking, makes me want a threaded barrel. |

DIY or did you send it in to Sig? What was the process like and cost? Very nice looking, makes me want a threaded barrel. I did it myself. I recommend doing both at the same time. Sigs are very easy to work on and the whole process took about 20 minutes to remove the old parts and install the new. It drastically changed the pistol for the better. ETA: do it at the same time, because all of the short reset parts need to be removed to do the short reach trigger. So if you just do the reset first then you would have to remove it all again the next time. |

Congrats, OP! The fine folks here recommended that I should stop being just an HK fanboy and embrace Sig designs. Boy, were they right! For those of you with the threaded barrels, was it difficult to take the thread protector off at first? Have not shot it yet. It's brand new and the thread protector seems to be on more than hand tight. I'd almost guess there some loctite on there. Maybe it will loosen up after a few mags. Just seeing if anyone had similar experiences or is there a trick to the sigs.

Counter clockwise If looking down the barrel? View Quote Well that right there is your problem. It needs to go clockwise (I just double checked on mine). It is a 13.5x1 left hand thread so it is the opposite of what you would normally expect. IF you've been pulling hard counterclockwise you've likely got it pretty tight, but trust me, clockwise will get it off. |

I am about to get my MK25.
Looking to get a Safariland ALS holster for it with a X300U. Anyone have an idea for the right holster number for it? I am tracking the 6378-477-411 for the gun without the light--anyone using a holster for it with a light? Thanks! |
