Mod 1 did that work. IMO, they are top tier for frame/slide mods. Especially for the price compared to salient etc.

His site says he isn't taking new work right now because he's getting deployed in the summer...

He'll still be doing M&P backstraps and other work that does not require a firearm being sent to an FFL.

I'm reworking this one, it was even uglier than it is now as it was the first one I stippled.  This one still needs some cleaning up, and I need to figure out a good way to do borders.

All the information for borders is out there. It takes practice and literally looking at hundreds of photographs and looking at the same photograph hundreds of times. I've been obsessed with it over the last 4 or 5 months and my longtime girlfriend is definitely not happy about it.

I just refinished the borders on my 41. Nothing really wrong with the old borders but I like this style better.

I went at mine after 2 Budweisers, a Walmart Solder gun, and a Dremel. I started with a fine point solder tip, lightly laying at a sight angle int the material until I got the depth I was after (practice on Pmags), The undercutting I used a Dremel large sanding wheel, the one where you slide the round sand tube and tighten down to expand to the belt. I slightly allowed the weight to take material up, and began to form the shape I was after. It was nasty looking, dont worry. You then gradually go higher in grit until you feel it is smooth enough to go at it with a polishing wheel. The mag release I used a combination of a few sanding stone shapes to achieve the depth. Be sure while trying these modifications you know how much material you have to work with. Cerakote done by Caleb at Hudsonville Arms. The slide is Burnt Bronze and the Frame is Graphite Black/ Satin Aluminum mix.

I use a fine point soldering iron and make lazy s shapes in varying directions, often overlapping. I started off with Pmags and then onto a couple of my Glocks. I melted down the frame with the side of the iron to even out the surface before texturing.

I kind of rushed this one so it doesn't look as good but grip is very similar.

It can be depending on the amount of pressure applied when forming the ridges. I went overly aggressive on one pistol and reworked it to tone it down after a shooting session. I stippled my chopped 19 and did a light sanding to get it a little smoother for carry purposes.

The first texture worked well, but it was ugly. I still need some practice on the border as the edges still don't look good.
