Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile View Quote This A lot of glock lovers do replace their sights after getting them, so I can see some value in having those put on out of the box. While I'm not a glock guy, I can't say I'd mind owning a G19 in that trim. |

Quoted: What doesn't larry sponsor these days. View Quote Larry Vickers has been extolling Glocks for a long time. I don't think Glock has ever paid him for an endorsement. FWIW, all my Glocks get the Vicker slide release and the Gen 3s get the Vickers mag release. No experience with the sights or base plates. |

I could care less about the Vickers Signature parts or the "collectability", but the rough textured frame is awesome. Glock should have never discontinued it on their regular production guns.
ETA: The Tango Down and Vickers parts come in a bag to install yourself? |

Well shit, that makes Glock #9 and 10 for me. Now to find somewhere to place an order....

Gen 3 w/ rough texture, FDE frame, and upgraded sights did it for me. Anything collectible about it means 0. I just dig the features. If they put this exact combination together without the Vickers name / Serial number I'd buy that instead... |

The pistol also comes with a coupon for a discount on a Vickers training class. Unfortunately they are giving a black mag release instead of their matching dark earth one. |

That's stupid. To be fair, as long as the sights are installed (the more difficult of the upgrades), everything else they include is stupid simple - enough so that you could figure it out with a Youtube video your first time trying. Hell, I bet the shop that does the sale or the transfer will throw the parts in for free for most customers. I like that you get the factory parts as well as the upgraded parts. Keep what you like and tuck the others away as spares or sell them off. Much better than just giving you the upgraded parts only. I'm in this for the RTF2 frames and the sights. |

Apparently Glock would not install the aftermarket parts. View Quote According to Larry hinself, glock would not warranty the parts so they will ship loose Glockmeister and such may install them on theirs before sale...but glock won't at the factory Cost is about $100 more than retail price for standard gun |

Been searchin' for an RTF forever as they dried up couple years ago. Got in on this G17 pre-order. Hoping the sites are nice as I prefer my Truglo TFO's. I love the rough texture. As it is I had to put the Talon grips on my G19 to get the grip I wanted.

I do like the FDE RTF frame....Maybe I DO need a 17 in my collection...... :)

Ordered one directly from Glockmeister... Free shipping, no tax... Ive been wanting a G19, and this one was what I would have put together anyway... Ive got a 23, and think that is about the best shooting gun for me... Really curious about the 19... Ive never had a 9mm before!
Just got the dreaded BACK ORDERED Email!!! |

View Quote The 19 is better. Way better. These do look cool, although the RTF2 texture was always too scratchy for me. Granted, I do stipple my own frames, so the grip isn't much of a bonus for me. FDE is sexy as hell though. |

I NEED the G17, but I would snag one of the 19s as well if I could find one.

Anybody get their Vickers FDE Glock from Glockmiester lately? Still waiting from 11-12-14?
Eta: G17 shows in stock now, maybe tomorrow. |

I ordered mine the day Glockmeister sent out the email. I'm in Tucson and I've had mine a little over a week now. I like it. Though I did end up putting a black Grip Force adapter on it.
I called to inform local gun shop of this model Glock and without letting me know, they ordered in 17's and one 19. When they called me I was perturbed as they never called till it came in. They had two serial numbers in succession that I could have had, actually, 3, but one was on hold for someone else. I couldn't get out of the Glockmeister deal even though it hadn't shipped yet without a stupid $155 / 25% restocking fee, even though I didn't have possession. So I kept that and debating picking up the one local on hold for me. Haven't shot it yet. I'm use to Truglo TFO's but probably will leave the Vickers sights on to keep it semi-"stock" Vickers. I like it. Though admittedly, it doesn't feel nearly as good to me as my G19 with Talon grip. |

FML. Just cancelled locally for my second VTG17 in the low 400 serial number for one from KeelyArms in the low 200's. Patric said he has one more left. $609 and $8.99 shipping. I save on AZ tax for this second purchase.

Ordered the 17 just now from Glockmeister, showing in stock. Also ordered a Gen 4 FDE 19. No indication of stock status on that one. Hopefully they have it.
