AVD prefix.
Born March 1994.
Purchased May 1994. Just before the shit storm that became the 1994 Crimebill. After that Glock mags were selling for almost $100 a pop.
Guy bought it for the low low price of $516 with night sights. Front sight is staked on.
Back then new Glocks were running around $420
Spent most of it's days buried in a closet till the original buyer passed.

Those 20-year old sights have to be getting dim. Obviously the slide stop was replaced at some point.

I have a 1993 G22.  I love the parked finish on the slide.

I have an AUH in the tupperware that's like new--holding on to it for a friend in a retirement home (he's paranoid they'll find it and kick him out).  I think he may have put a few mags through it to function test it, but I'm the only one who's really shot it--I used the slide (but not the barrel) in a class since mine has a red-dot on it.

I keep meaning to try to trade it for a LNIB gen4 since he wants a rail for some reason (I think he plans on someday putting a light-laser combo on it for some reason).

If I had the money, I'd just buy him a nice gen3 or gen4 (outside the BTF dates) and keep this one for myself...I think they look better without the rail (but then, I think they look better with the front of the trigger guard curved and the rear undercut).

Very dim. I replaced the slide stop last night. I also removed the original serrated trigger Everything I own I shoot.

$300? What a terrible deal, I guess I could give you your money back on it.

Good deal, I seen a Gen2 17 a couple years ago and it was the better part of 400.

I keep asking myself if I found more 2nd gens even in semi-decent shape how many I would buy.

Thankfully i haven't had to find out just yet, although I know the answer is more than two :D

I want four. One for each member of my household.

The Gen2 guns were built better with their machined extractors, strikers, firing pin safety and locking blocks. The current trigger bars and ejector housings are better though.

I have a G17 serial# TUxxx that I call my dirty girl. Bought it used in 92, shot the crap out of it. cleaned it for the first time this year. No real reason, just wanted to see how far she'd go. Still running strong. I only cleaned it because I couldn't take how dirty she was making me. She never miss fired or failed to cycle. Do keep her lubed though. Only thing I miss is a rail, so I recently got a newer gen 3 for an everyday gun. Which will regulate old dirty girl to back up role.

I have an early gen-2 19. It has serial number DP-xxx. I called Glock and they said it was one of the first 3000 to be brought into the country.  It came with Tupperware box, papers, mag loading tool and two "U" backed magazines which some states still consider pre-ban. Gave $350.00 for it.

You did good.  Grabbed my first one around that time and showed it to a buddy of mine who said to get rid of it cause they'll never last.

Nice looking 19. I scored an early gen 2 19 this month (1989). It's a straight shooter, but has a lot more holster "character" than your example.

for $45 Glock will refinish the slide (and probably install all new parts if you send only the stripped slide).

About a month for mine. Sent it in a flat rate small box. Got it back via fed ex. Total cost of $45 on my credit card. Came back refinished, new plastic sights and all new internals. I removed the new internals to keep as spare parts and put the old parts back in, removed and threw away the plastic sight s and put my night sights back on. Couldnt have bought a firing pin and extractor for that price so it was a great deal IMO.

Oh I know. I would forgo the refinish. They cannot match these older Glocks.  If I did that I would spend the extra cash and have GNS installed.

Nah... I sold the 2 preban standard capacity mags that came with it for $60.00.
That brings it down to $240.00

Besides I cannot stand the finger grooves on a gen3 compact.

Gen2 (no MIM, No LCI, fixed supply) are worth more than Gen3 (MIM, LCI, new ones made everyday).

OP, nice gun.

LCI extractor is likely to be MIM. May drag on some holsters.
