I would also have to agree. A phone light is good for finding your wife's ear ring when it falls to the floor or slowly navigating through unfamiliar terrain, but it is certainly not a substitute for carrying a flashlight.

+1

I phone light can not possibly be used to identify a target and fire. Not to mention holding the phone while shooting.

Jesus christ not everybody needs to be batman. Phone light is fine for most anything a normal person is likely to run into, just like not having a gun is going to be fine for 99% of us. Till cargo pants are back in we all gotta make sacrifices...

Have you actually went out and shot in the dark at any distance with you phone light?  Try it, then say it is enough to positively identify a thread and shot it. No one said you needed a bat belt my ProTac 2L clips on my left pocket and takes up very little room

Also in an emergency grabbing the flashlight clip to my pocket and turning it on is way faster then pulling the cell phone out of my pocket, unlocking it, getting to the flashlight app, then turning it on.

A compact and relatively bright light is easy to find and carry these days. I advise all the ladies at work to carry one in their purse.
Many of them work til' after sunset and walk out to their cars in the unlit parking lot.

Choose something else to sacrifice. A small light is too useful and I've heard it does get dark at least once a day.

He's probably the one that asks the guy WITH a light if he can borrow it when he does need it. I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Same with a gun, I carry a small Fenix light, small compact and pretty bright. I want to get a new holster to carry my weapons light on my pistol, but until then if I need to I'll use my little bright light.

I have thought of that but I use my light for a lot of stuff non gun related....finding the kids toy he dropped under the seat in the dark, etc.

I use this light all the time. Takes one AA battery, is over 100 lumens and it's stupid small. Cost me like 20 bucks. But I'm sorry, you were saying...

If you have not tried this magholder you are missing out. I am about to buy 3 more once the double stack 45 version is released.

Thank you sir! This is the non click version. I actually had an E1B that was stolen and this is essentially the same light just brighter as its a newer version.

The last one was a clicky tailcap. Now that I have the tactical non click version I most certainly prefer it.
