My sister asked me about holsters.
Who here is better informed than I on this subject?

Primary concern is comfort.
Must be OWB.

Some type of pancake? Appendix?

Leather and kydex are both options.

Depends on what we are doing. She is a typical female unit, so looks come before function. Most of the time it's her G43 in her purse. She did the same with her G27 before the slim 9 was released. She is not afraid to carry her G19 but like I said. She has to look good doing it. She has an Alien Gear IWB, Serpa OWB...

The Well Armed Woman website has videos about different carry methods. Search Falia Photography on YouTube for reviews of holsters and carry methods for women.

I love this place

My lady carries a G19 in a fanny-pack. She does want to get a gun to carry IWB, but hasn't found one she likes and isn't ready to dress around it. The fanny-pack works and she has trained with it and practices her draw.
Whatever - as long as she is effectively armed any method is fine with me.

Cheers!

Never seen an Appendix rig that wasn't Inside the Waistband, so that should knock that option out for her.

Unless the gun is very small/slim, most women don't like to carry on their person because of fashion-y stuff. May be best to look at something off-body but still easily accessible.

My wife doesn't carry at all, but Patriot Nurse on YouTube and full30.com recently did a video of some carry options that let ladies carry on the waistline while wearing a skirt.

There are some new yoga pants/leggings out as well, similar to the undercover type boxers for men.

Undertech makes great concealment shorts and leggings for women

Out of all the females I know who carry on their person, they all prefer IWB to OWB. I've heard great reports of the Stealth Gear Onyx from them as well.
(figured I'd throw the option out there even though its an IWB holster)
