As edc carry weapon 9mm do you carry a sig sauer or a glock?
And please elaborate on why you chose one or the other as your primary. Thanks I am in the process of compiling info on several different subjects so please if you carry sig or glock for a primary weapon please reply! |

G-26 here. I like the capacity, size and weight.....very easy to carry.

All of my handguns are Sigs. I don't like the way Glocks fit my hand.
P226 mk25 JM Custom IWBv3 or Bravo Concealment Patriot 124gr Hydro-Shok I also carry a P224 40S&W and a P227. |

Glock 22/27. Used to be Sig P229. Carried the Sig for approximately 12 years. Last 10 years have been Glock.
Main reason for the change was I really liked the way the Glock fit me, the magazine capacity and inter changeability, no DA/Sa transition, and I felt that I just shot the Glock better. |

I go back and forth between a 19 and 26, wear it in a crossbreed supertuck. Glock fits my hand better than any other gun and I shoot it very naturally (point of aim, grip, sight picture and handle recoil with follow up shots).
Also has magazine capacity and I can interchange mags with a larger spare mag. I also have a 26, 19, 17, 27, 23, 22 and a 36 so im kinda partial to Glock. |

[#10]
SIG P239 9mm
JM Custom IWBv3 124gr HST Cuz I prefer DA/SA over striker fired. And I just shoot the 239 best. |

I personally could never understand why anyone would buy a Glock if they ever shot a Sig. No comparison.

I must say I am surprised on the poll so far. I did a poll like this yrs ago and the sig walked all over the glock. I looked for the poll could not find it, it was on a different forum be darned if I can find it. I had a reminder on my computer so I could run another poll now to see what time would change. And all i had was the results saved. This time I will save all data, just for the fun of it.
Well maybe the sig will catch up. I know accuracy and dependability of either weapon shouldn't be an issue.? |

Glock 19/26 depending. I've owned SIGs and like them fine, I much prefer the Glock.

Glock 19. For me i love the grip and the trigger.
Ive owner 2 hk uspc 9's, beretta 92, sig p226, springfield loaded 1911, colt wiley clap government length, mix master 1911, hk uspc 45, hk vp9, glock 23. Keep going back to glock 19. The p226 trigger was amazing in both double and single action but to heavy for carry. I have looked at the sig p239 and p938 as theyve been dirt cheap lately for pocket carry. Have checked out sigs new striker fired stuff yet. |

SIG P320 Compact 9mm is my first choice, SIG SP2022 9mm second choice. Both are very rugged/reliable but I prefer the P320's grip & consistent trigger over the SP2022's DA/SA and prefer the grip of both over the Glock (nothing against Glocks otherwise, the SIG's fit my hand better). Depending upon the weather I carry either AIWB or shoulder holster, 1-2 reloads and use Hornady's 135gr std pressure Critical Duty.

Glock 19 during winter, 26 during summer. Both gen 4.
Both in the same Galco King Tuk holster. Speer Gold Dot 147 gr in the 19, 124 gr in the 26. ETA: I also own Sigs and while I like them a lot, I'd rather carry Glocks for their size, weight, and consistent trigger. I like shooting my Sigs, but I've got a LOT more muscle memory with the Glocks. Both seem to point naturally for me. |
|
[#19]
Sig what? Anyways either will do the job. What feels right for your hand and wallet, go with that.

I carry a glock 17 chopped to Glock 19 grip, I have both Glock and Sig handguns, and think both are great guns. I carry the Glock because it's more convenient (less weight, thinner(only marginal different)

View Quote It depends, I prefer the G19, but the P290RS is more concealable due to it's considerably smaller size. |

I Carry a Glock because I shoot well with it, its stupid easy to work on, and its light weight compaired to most Sigs.

Was a glock 26. Now it's a shield. Sig is nice for OWB here and there but I don't think I'd subject one to the abuses of IWB daily carry. Plus, too chunky for (my) comfort.

Used to carry a G=33, now carry a Sig Sauer P239. Both are in .357 sig caliber, naturally.

G17 Gen 3 threaded barrel as my current cc with Winchester PDX1 Defenders in a Blackpoint Tactical holster. Its big and harder to conceal, but makes up for it by having 52 rounds of ammo with one in chamber and 3 magazines.

My spares are G17 magazines. 17+17+15+1=50, I suspect you actually carry 54 rounds. I usually only carry one extra magazine though. |

Since the grip of the Glocks do not fit my hands well, I would choose the Sig, which fits quite nicely.
However, I currently own neither brands. |

Hate glocks. They have a weird grip and do not point anywhere close to natural for me.

Its like asking toyota corolla (glock) or a avalon (sig). Both are reliable and do the job. One is just a lil finer
|
|
[#34]
Glock 19. I have carried my SP2022, and I prefer the DA/SA over striker fire, but being a small dude its a lot easier to conceal the glock.

If I only carried one gun every day I believe I could train up on the sig and live with the sa/da transition.
But that is not what I do so the Glock with the one trigger pull is something I shoot way better. I have a old straight grip (no finger bumps) G19 that is my gun of choice . It looks like crap but it works for me and I have confidence in it and my ability to shoot it well. I am due to refresh the night sights but other than that it is good to go. I understand many folks are different but I am always surprised by the number that seem to be predisposed to hate the G19 without really trying it. Fits many many people , big enough to shoot well but small enough to carry , nearly bulletproof , great factory support , reasonable price and great resale. I use it in pistol classes and most everyone seems to shoot it well both those with experience and complete newbies |

I like my Sigs better, but the G19 is much more comfy to carry more often.
G19, comp-tac infidel. 124 gr Speer Gold Dot or a Federal HST. ETA...I don't have a small Sig....smallest is P229R, which I will carry on occasion. Also have a Shield that was my first carry gun. |

Cheap will always outsell quality. |

Neither have jammed in the last 500+ rounds. (the sig never, I think the G19 on its first magazine may have jammed once) The single action trigger on the Sig is awesome. A Les Baer M1911 isn't much better. My P228 was made in West Germany. But, 2 more rounds and it points pretty close to "just right" for me and the plastic won't corrode. |

I carry a G23 because my agency requires it, but I would have no issues with a G19 or 17 for work or EDC. One trigger pull to learn, gun is less $$ than SIG P-series.

[#42]
I voted Sig... only because I carry a Sig P6 every now and again.
I'm carrying a XDs 9mm daily now, which probably could have counted as vote for a Glock... |
|
[#43]
I voted Sig do not own a sigle Glock but carry a Sig P-220 .45 occaisionally.

[#48]
SIG P229 9mm. Glocks don't fit my hand either. One 15+1 Mec Gar mag in the gun, and one spare 18 rounder on my belt.

|
[#49]
G26 and G42
I have shot sigs, they're okay, but I prefer Glocks. I don't like SA/DA and I particularly don't like aluminum receivers on handguns….especially small handguns. I'll never trust small aluminum receivers in handgun design again after having a Beretta Tomcat disintegrate in my hand while firing it. Bigger forgings like in the AR rifle are fine…little, fine forgings suck (I know, just my opinion and I probably just made a lot of enemies, but this is how I feel about it. ) |
|
[#50]
I own neither and carry a Browning Hi Power, but, of the two options, Glock 19 would be my reply. I have one on my list to get and shoot it very well. Not a huge fan of SIGs.
