I'm looking at a purchasing a Kydex holster and need to know which belt loop size to go with. I have a few belts ranging in width from 1.5"-1.75".

Will I have any issues wearing a holster with 1.75" loops if I happen to wear a 1.5" belt?

Does that 1/4" of play make a real difference when drawing?

Yes, it is annoying to me. I am strictly 1 3/4" because of that.

It'll flop around.

I found 1.5" to be the standard for most things so I got rid of my 1.75" belts. A reinforced Wilderness belt will not sag.

If you have a gun belt, and it is tight, the holster likely won't even move.

I now use 1.5" belts and loops for everything.  A 1.75" with a 1.5" belt is not secure.

Pick the same size as your most worn belt. You can also get spare loops of any size so you can change them out easily if need be. Most companies sell the loops and all required hardware for around$10. Relatively short money when you spend almost $200 on a quality belt and holster.

Buy the larger of the two clasps; and adjust the internal size bars to fit whatever belt you're wearing at the time.  You can actually see the belt-size adjustment bars at the bottom of this picture:

Never mind, I misunderstood the question.
