I'm 20, and setting up my holster/carry setup, and trying to see if carrying with a light would be too hard.

Would be a TLR-1 on a Glock 19 appendix.

So Bueller?

What are you experiences with this?

What's you BMI??
Mid size Glock, appendix carry, light, good luck.
That 20ish pounds you'll pickup about 30 will put an end to the 2-3 o'clock position.
Riding in a car is a nope.
Sitting at a desk, maybe, but probably a no.
I'm sure everyone is lining up to disagree but try it and get back to me.

Trade the TLR-1 for a APL and it will work much better.

I'm 6'2" about 200lbs right now.  I carry AIWB with a light sometimes.  It's fine until you have to sit for a long period of time - then it kinda sucks.

I made my own for this. I'll post a pic later when at home. I make my own holsters because no one at the time wanted to make a AIWB holster. So I bought my own equipment

in the 1-2 o'clock appendix carry location??

Closer to 2:00-2:30 ( too much belly for standard appendix carry)  Just in front of my hip bone. Depending on where the belt loops on my pants fall. I will push the gun forward rather than backwards.

Yeah- if someone has the slightest belly it will factor into how well they can AIWB carry or not It's not for everyone but for those that can- it's a great way to conceal and draw from.

I'm 5-10 and 150 and I carry a VP9 with an APL in a kydex holster and I don't think it's any less comfortable than without the light. I have carried appendix, but normally it's at 3:30

5' 11"
225 lbs (not skinny but no gut sticking out either)
G17 in a JM Custom Kydex AIWB

No issues at all driving, sitting, climbing ladders, crawling under houses, you name it. The longest I've sat in a vehicle is about an hour and a half each way and I had no problem. I carry my G17 12-13 hours a day this way and will never go back to strong side carry.
