I have a SB Tactical Galil style brace.  the Rubber forearm brace rotates somewhat easily.  Would it be legal to hairspray/tape/pin/glue whatever the brace into a set position?

I wrapped my buffer tube in electrical tape to keep the Sig brace from moving, it worked well. I now use all shockwave braces though.

I noticed the shockwave has a pin hole in a picture.  I was afraid that any permanent/semi-permanent modification to the brace/tube might alter its classification as an accessory for pistol shooting.

I would think just gluing/pinning it to a set position would not alter the function of a forearm brace, but the ATF is already saying I cannot touch a certain part of my own body with my own property so common sense no longer applies.

When I still had the Sig brace I used the hairspray method and it worked great.  Never rotated at all after that.  No ATF agent in the world is going to send your brace to a lab to find out if it has hairspray on the tube.

I boiled mine to shrink it some to fit tight on my kak tube. It still was not tight enough so the electrical tape was used and it did the trick. Must be sure to run the tape in the right direction so when you twist the brace on it won't roll the tape.

The ATF is just trying to save you from pleasuring yourself to the point of going blind.  It's for your own good.

Electrical tape on the tube keeps  my sig-galil brace in place.

I'm more amazed at how solid the brace is with only the pistol grip and screw attaching it to the receiver.

Is the new sig galil brace longer than the original? I'd like to keep my face further away from my new draco. Also does it use a buffer tube that could take a side folding adapter?
