So my stamp for my M92 was just approved and I would like to install the Manticore Triangle stock I bought along with a Stormwerkz hinge. Also have a WildBill's backing plate so I don't need to tap the rear trunion. I've never drilled into metal before, tools I have to do the job are 2 Dewalt drills, one battery and one pull in. Read online it looks like I need a #21 drill bit, which I think is the same as a 5/32 bit? The bits I have are just the normal ones, should I get some carbide bits to help get through the steel? Any tips for installing the stock? It's super easy if you have the wild bill plate. Use it as a stencil and just drill away. |

It is quite easy. Just make sure you use the correct bit. A #21 is not the same as 5/32. #21= .1590 and 5/32= .1562. I think I had a drill bit/tap combo pack. You can get by using a small adjustable wrench on the tap. It is not ideal, but it will work just fine for what you are doing. Also, carbide in not necessary. High Speed Steel will work but Colbalt is better. Go slow so you don't over heat the trunion.

I havent sent in my form 1 yet, but I got all the parts. I didnt want to get the stamp back and everyone to be out of stock on what I needed.
I got the shim with the stormwekz hinge when I ordered it from them. How is the wildbill shim different from theirs? |

Got it done this afternoon, went pretty quick. Debating on staining a virgin pair of handguard I have or getting a black pair of Ronin handguards. Going to install the Stormwerkz rail tomorrow to attach my red dot.

Gotta email him or send him a private message on one of the forums. I already have my wildbill plate and am just waiting for the form 1 to clear before I order the stock and hinge! The wait is killing me! I have been ignoring it pretty good until I see threads like this!
