Already started on it, so there is no going back now. The PKM stock is way fatter than the rpk receiver. Think I need to narrow it down? It doesn't look as good as I thought it might, anything I can do to make it look better? I like being able to grab the top of the stock while shooting with the bipod out.

Hmm.

I agree it looks too fat.  I think you could thin it without too much trouble - you have the layers of laminate as a guide.  Also, it is a little longer than a standard AK stock - so you could shorten it from the front end so you don't have as much gap in the tang inlet.

It has promise.

I note also that the comb is more squared, so perhaps recontouring that a bit will give a better cheek weld.

I think it looks good. Don't give up. I'd try to taper the end where it fit up into the receiver but, it's a neat concept. The hinged buttplate is a nice benefit.

Isn't that what they did to Arnold's Valmet in Commando?

ummmm, NO. It was a factory stock, but this is a close representation.  I love this look!

Seems like its angled upwards to me. Im used to the RPk stock being angled downward so it looks strange. It still looks cool regardless. Keep it up
