We are pleased to announce the release of the long awaited FSC47. This is the flash suppressing version of the DNTC comp, but tuned specifically for the AK47. This unit comes in 14x1mm LH threads and is sure to amaze anyone that shoots their AK with one of these comps.
   The little red washer included with the comp is used as a spacer if needed to keep the comp from rattling should the timing of your threads be far enough off to need such an item. How many do you want?
I'll make 200 of anything anyone wants... but if I make 200 and sell 10 - that is not a good deal. The problem with the Krink, or any other rifle that has the 24mm thread is that it is HUGE and any associated muzzle device would be quite large as well. Due to the size, I think you could get great compensation, but not much flash suppression out of the unit. Just my thoughts. Todd |

Don't take this the wrong way - but why?
 The unit is currently 2.10" long - a longer one wouldn't be "that" much longer. Let me know your thoughts. Would it bring something within legal length that is "close?" Todd |

Oh - then, no - no plans for a 1/2x28 version at this time.
We made the J-Tac47 in 1/2x28 at the request of "numerous" people - and in a year and a half, we have sold 48 of them. Todd |

Am interested in putting this on my Tantal. The barrel extends a bit past the 14mm threads and would be blocking some of the ported openings. |

Here is a pic of the muzzle of a tantal AK. Standard 14mm thread but with additional barrel past the threads.
Thats why I'm interested in a longer version, so that it can clear the muzzle.

 ??A longer version is possible - but it certainly falls far down on the list unless we had a dealer that wanted to be the exclusive distributor and wanted to buy a reasonable quantity of the units. Hope this helps. Todd |

Saw one of these today at the gunshow in Raleigh, NC. It does look very well made and the guy said it was a huge improvement as a comp and had some ok FH abilites.

Hey Jake, Yes - it indexes much like the typical slant brake and we've also included a silicone high temper o-ring type washer to use if there is too much play. There is no danger of melting it in FA fire - it is pretty much made for that. The benefit would be a reduction in recoil as well as holding the muzzle down during bursts of fire vs. fighting to keep it down with only the slant brake. Again - these things have a money back guarantee - so buy one - take it out - run a few hundred rounds through it and if you don't think it is worth every penny - send it back and we'll refund your money. We don't make a set screw version specifically, but a gun smith should be able to mount it using set screws while drilling the comp to match the barrel dimples.

I have an original 47 and think its the best thing i could have added to my k, my friend with a regular slant brake said he loves how my ak shoots, i get virtually no muzzle climb, and since im gonna be building another ak soon, ill probably try the new one as soon as i get it done, great product PWS

It is a flash suppressor - so it will suppress it more than normal comp, but not as well as dedicated flash hider.
I don't have a video of it on an AK, but you can see the difference on the AR here - AR15 Demo The overall design is the same - the comp ports are cut a little different for the AK recoil, but the function should be very similar. Todd |

Just shot my Vector Milled with this brake for the first time yesterday.
If you hold the rifle firmly against your shoulder you can easily shoot multiple rounds to roughly the same point of impact (within 2 inches at 20yds). But that might just be me moving a bit. Somebody else may do better. Vast improvement - great looking device |

I have one of their brakes on my AR10 and it makes a huge difference. I highly recommend them. The only thing that sucks is I have to spend another 100 bucks now to up grade my AK's phantom flash hider.

Can you give any figures on the recoil and muzzle rise reduction? I've read that the AK74 type brake reduces felt recoil by 70% and muzzle rise by 90%. The trade off being that it makes the gun MUCH louder to the shooter and bystanders. Also, it has NO flash reduction properties. I'd really like to know how both of the J-Tac brakes for the AK compare to the AK74 brake.

The muzzle jump on my 308 AR10 carbine feels about 50% less at least and the recoil seems to have been cut by at least that much. Pat |

Looks to me like almost a Vortec. I'm not sure what the side cuts are for probably recoil reduction but they have to hurt its ability to suppress flash. The thing that simply can not be acquired today that was readily available 30 yrs ago at least for AR is a night firing device - these were about 3.5 inches long with about a hundred of small holes smaller than 1/8 inch that were angled about 45 degrees forward and worked very well to save your night vision from the muzzle blast.

The FSC47 literally makes the J-Tac47 seem like it isn't working in terms of recoil reduction. I would never go as far as to say it takes out "90%" (as that would mean the rifle now recoils like a .22?) - but it is very impressive.

looks like I know where part of my next paycheck is going! I could care less about muzzle flash. for me its all about the recoil and a better overall stable platform. I think this can deliver it.
and it seems like you guys take care of the 'I think' problem since you are willing to take it back if it doesn't deliver what I need :) |

Got mine today. I need to get it to the range. Looks great and I have been impressed with the .308 version on a LAR-8.
Mine is very loose on my Vector. The o-ring makes no difference. There is enough of a gap that it looks like I could fit at least one more spacer. |

Well, I was able to pick up 25 Size 012 Silicone o-rings today. I dropped a second o-ring on the muzzle and now everything is solid as a rock. I hope to run some rounds through it this weekend during my lunch break at a course.

I was able to run about 200 rounds through the new FSC47 today after a carbine class. All I can say is wow. I shot a 16" middy AR all day and while the AK definitely had more felt recoil, it wasn't much. It really has to be felt to be believed.
I am trying to think of a good way to describe it but it is difficult. All I can think to say is that the break really straightens out of the recoil. There is a bit of muzzle lift but most of the pulse is directed straight back. However, even the straight back component of the recoil is reduced. At 50 yards, I was able to hold the dot of my Aimpoint on the 2/3 size IPSC steel target and get hits nearly as fast as I could pull the trigger. I let a few other guys try out a couple of mags and every one had the same results. All you have to do is pull that stock into your shoulder, control the trigger, and watch your front sight/reticle barely move and settle right back to your POA. It is extremely rewarding. I got to try out the FSC47 this weekend. It's beautifully made(but doesn't index well on my rifle) and improves the recoil impulse to a degree. Unfortunately, myself and two other shooters didn't feel that the impact on muzzle rise and recoil warrant the price tag.
