I'll probably send it back to them to add a scope rail. A reddot optic sure would be swell...

My two Vectors.

The underfolder apparently is on Hungarian parts, the fixed stock is Polish.  I am waiting for a Vortex flashider for the fixed stock "tactical" version, then I start looking for wood and a better (more correct) sling for the UF.

I guess these 2 rifles are my answer to the AR-15's ability to swap uppers. I like the idea of having an M4gery w/red dot for close range, and a scoped 20" barrel upper for long range work. I'm not an AR-15 hater, I just tried it and decided it wasn't for me.

Thank you. It was the result of a boring day. I liked the way it looked, and the way it made the pistol grip feel while holding it (well, not actually a pistol grip being a thumbhole stock and all.)

O.K. This is my first AK. When i got it I wanted to give her a new look (all Black and Metal) Top pic is in stock config, Arsenal SA93. The rest is my version of a sleek, Heavy duty AK. Dressed in Black.

In the middle of transformation.

Finished Product.

What is your reasoning for the cantilever optic mount?

Is that a type of camo pattern on your stock? Why is there string wrapped around it?

I would have a hard time shooting a carbine that had a 5" offset.

You are absolutely correct.  It is a beautiful rifle and I really like it.  I paid $550.00 for it and I consider it a great deal.  This is my second AK.  I have a Romanian that I have "fixed up".  I should post pics of it also.

Whoa, TuoHo!  NICE AK!  I've been looking at pictures of AKs for a couple years now on this and a couple other websites and I can honestly say I've never seen one anything like yours!  Nice job.

Oh, and welcome.  Your English is just fine, in fact, better than some native-born people I know!

Here is what I have done to my Romanian AK.  It has been refinished with tough Envirotech finish courtesy of Investment Grade Firearms.  It has a Kvar black synthetic stock, Red Star Arms trigger assembly and I added the brake.  I just installed a set of front and rear Champion Trijicon night sights.   If you haven't checked these out, they are a big improvement on the standard sights.

Here's my latest project.
Vector AK-47, KG gunkote in Kahki Tan and Flat Black, and internals in silver
The hand guards were just drilled to give better venting. Pattern was ala M203 and measured to avoid the internal ribs.
Lessons learned, pure TCE burns like crazy and will eat nitride gloves faster than brake cleaner
