Bummer that you missed it!
There are a few exchanging on line for sub-$500, but a little over $500 is the average (data here: GunStockMarket: Russian SKS Sales. Very nice examples are trading for more; $600+. The "great panic of 2012" sent prices up quickly and while there has been some relief in price the new normal for a decent Russian SKS is $550+ (Russian SKS prices in 2013). |
