I have the chance to trade a Remington 700 in .223 for a vepr 5.56 in dragunov furniture. It comes with 4 mags and scope mount.

So what do j need to know about them? What does the Saiga conversion entail or do?

What would a cool Russian looking scope be to pick up?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure why you're wondering about a Saiga conversion as you said its a VEPR you would be converting, the Saiga is a different rifle.  You will need a stock adapter for the angled receiver, canis makes a good one if you want to go AR style stock.  I wasn't too thrilled with my SGM adapter that allows you to use normal AK stocks.  A normal AK pistol grip will do.  If you want a traditional front end, css sells gas tubes and aluminum retainers while Dinzag Arms makes a bit heavyer duty steel lower retainer and also has this gas tubes.  You may need a bullet guide installed as well, both sell those as well.  You can take a dremel to expose the barrel threads and add a muzzle device of choice.  Keep on mind 922r rules when converting.

Also the dragunov furniture is pretty desirable, you could probably sell it for a pretty penny on the EE.

Thanks for all the info. I was skimming a few threads in here trying to take a crash course as I'm very green to the platform and got confused on everyone talking about converting their saigas and vepr's. Didn't realize it just ment a furniture change.

I'll probably just keep the dragunov furniture as I've always wanted one but out of curiosity what is the furniture worth?

Mine started out with factory wood and it now wears Magpul furniture and takes hi cap mags.

I get  MOA with good ammo / quality bullets.
I do not have a lot of trigger time or tried various loads from it yet.

69 &  52 grain Sierra reloads......

if' it's an older  vepr it could be a Robinson arms vepr. bullet guide already installed and in my opinion worth more. If that is the case it could be a vepr II ( 20'' ) or vepr k ( 16'') great rifles but changing the stocks on those can be problematic as the receiver is not standard euro type. Great rifles you will love to shoot in any case
