I want to zero the scope on the "4" (400m) setting at 100m.......anyone know how high the poi would be above the poa?, I believe the "400m zero" on an AK-74 puts the poi 22cm above the poa but anyone know the XXcm figure for 54r?.

I believe Kalinka has the instructions on their web site. At least they did when I bought mine a few years ago. The issue is that the zoom corresponds with bullet drop. IIRC, you zero on the lowest zoom setting.

ETA:

Try this:

Hi Nictra, I know about the zoom corresponding to range and I looked at the binocularsmart site before but it doesn't help. When I zeroed my 1pn34, which also starts at 400m, it stated in the manual that in order to zero it at 100m  the poi had to be 23cm above the poa with the BDC turret on "4", and was hoping to find similar info on the 4-12x42.

My other thought was to fire a group at 100m with the ironsights set on "4" (irons are zeroed so "1" is 100m) and fit the scope and zero  on "4" to the same poi as the irons if that makes sense.

gotta start somewhere. I'd try it, then see if the BDC works maybe. I only know the 1P21.

Can you remember the difference between poa/poi at 100m on the 1PN21?

I cannot, I'm sorry. Was over 4 years ago, and I used it on my M76 for a brief time before I decided it was too heavy.

does yours sit as far to the left? Would like to see pics of it on the drag.

I'm waiting on it to arrive from Florida at the moment but will post pics once it arrives.
