FYI...

I know these rifles have a reputation for key holing. I really like mine other than this and I have been saying for years I was going to do some testing. Finally got around to it.

I tested the following 5.45x39 at 60 yards:

Silver Bear 60gr
Red Army Standard 69gr
Military Surplus 53gr
Wolf 69gr
Wolf WPA Military Classic HP 55gr
Wolf WPA Military Classic SP 55gr

The Wolf WPA bullets were the only ones that didn't keyhole. These bullets are very different than the others, not only lighter in weight, but much shorter. This must help them stabilize in these barrels.

Again, just FYI for anyone else who has been frustrated with there CAI  M74, AK-74. I was going to replace my barrel, but now I have an option.

Hmmm...wonder if they are .223 bullets.

Or CAI used the wrong barrel . . .
