Have it, love it. Triangle folder locks up tight. No wiggle.

Easily one of the best stamped receiver rifles on the market. I'm waiting for the CR model to be available again.

What is the CR model and why do people want this one more?

If I could have only one 7.62x39 AK, it would be a 107FR.

Could you explain why? I'm new and looking for information, that's the only reason I ask.

People want them because they are cool as is but even cooler when they are SBR'ed.

Ok that is pretty damn cool...I want o....no I NEED one.

To be more specific.....the CR model is a mid-size model that offers you the best balance of ballistics and compactness. Krinks are the coolest, but you give up a fair amount of bullet velocity as compared to a full size 16" rifle.

Something to consider is the sight radius on ak's like the cr or krink vs the fr. (arsenal speaking).  If you are not going to SBR, then you would probably be better suited with the fr.

I've been into AK's since the 1980's. I've owned damn near every make and model, built AK's, collected them, and by far, the 107FR is my absolute favorite. If I could only have one, that would be it. Fantastic rifle.

Finally took my newly acquired 107FR out to the range.  It is somewhat recent K-Var sale buy - newly manufactured/imported.  Initial suspicions confirmed - it is perfect.  It is my third Arsenal.  I also have 2 Veprs & 2 Saigas.

I agree that CRs are cool but URs are cooler.

Right now they demand a premium but hopefully they will import more in the near future.

Same here.  I think I bought my first AK around '88.  I've owned virtually every factory made rifle since.  My favorites are the SLR-106FR and SLR-107FR.  These are by far the most "refined" and "best shooting" AKs I've owned.

Indeed ! I got my first AK in 1982 and have owned every make and model as well.

The SLR107FR is the best factory built AK you can buy at this time.
