@KTMmx00

It's a JMAC 2C 24-1.5 and the suppressor is a form 1 titanium/17-4 SS I bored to 9mm.

I think it took 6 months to get the mount back in stock

Anyone running Wolfman on their AK? Especially the 14-1 LH flavor AKs!?

Edit to add: let’s see Wolfman on 7.62x39 AK/AKM. I’m interested in what 7.62x39 sounds like through the Wolfman compare to Wolverine.

So it was you that got the other prototype clear US Palm mag!

Honestly no idea how many TD ran but yours is the only other one I’ve ever seen.

I have 3 of the clear with black base piece and one that's a transparent FDE with solid FDE base.  Got them here:  https://gunmagwarehouse.com/us-palm-ak30r-ak-47-7-62x39mm-30-round-magazine.html

They only seem to do the transparent versions in their all-plastic mag.  The ones with metal reinforcements are only solid colors that I've seen.

Got 2 US Palm Transparent Magazines as well, am I missing something, or is there a difference between the released one, and the prototype?

My mistake.

Never knew they actually released them.

Mine is an early prototype and molded from polystyrene. Not durable enough for any use. Just kept it around for cool guy pics.

I had an in back in the day.

Guess I’ll go get some clear ones for fun.

Just got myself a WBP Jack. Gunsmith/FFL measured concentricity and he said it’s off three thousandths. Before I buy a mount for my Silencerco Omega, do you thing that will be close enough?

I like mine. It's built like a tank, but it's not a quiet can. I know the shorter barrel doesn't help, but it's still pretty loud.

@sbye

Thank you

So it takes the edge but not by much I take it

Been debating getting one and my local ace hardware store has some brown bear 196gr for 20.o0 a box

I have a hybrid 46 in jail I literally couldn't pass up but seeing  the pbs-1 back in stock had my marbles thinking

Should I buy one for quite time outdoors

Or go jmac key micro and see how concentric my barrel is 1st before throwing lots of cash into it 1st

Yeah. It takes the edge off, but that's about it. It would probably be pretty good with the Brown Bear. The positives are the look, durability, and ability to mount to basically any AK.

So it's 2 out of 3

Mounting ability should I grab another ak or mount on another firearm ( seen people using them on there 9mm pic's)

Robust and durability

But still 140+

I'm gonna grab that brown bear and some other 7.62x39 in the day from there for the aks  stash which currently ain't much

Still gonna do tge kns piston mod thru kns directly in the next few days and mail out the carrier

Off to SS to stare at tge product

I'm running an SDN6 on a 107CR.  I cut the barrel, rethreaded for 1/2x28 because there is not enough meat on the barrel to thread for 5/8x24.  I took a 5.56 51t mount and reamed it out to 7.62.

You could try some sort of thread adapter.  I've had some that worked and others that were not remotely concentric.

I grabbed a thread converter from KNS, I got a 7.62 51t blackout muzzle brake, and then I've got a rod-checker concentric thingie coming as well so I don't blow the suppressor up if it's crooked.  I'll post and report when I get everything back and hooked up.

Thread adapter tightens up in different direction than the muzzle brake which doesn't make me feel great but I've rocksetted the thread adapter;

I assume best way to do this is to put it in a vice so the threaded adapter doesn't move out; and then install the muzzle brake with rockset; and then quite literally attach the suppressor once and LEAVE IT ON.

Thread adapter is fully on and tightened up pretty good with rockset on it.. Is this going to be a problem?  It's fully seated, just leaves some threads open.

This should be okay.  The KNS adapter will seat on the muzzle.  If you bottom out at the sight block that could be an issue.

Got a definitive arms adjustable gas block installed on my wasr. It took a bit of effort to get fitted, and works well with supersonic, but took some effort to get to work with subs. I had to drill out a port in the cup to a 1/4 inch or so, and make the gas channel that aligns with the port a little deeper.

I had the oddest think happen though, when testing with subs before opening it up all the way, the first shot would cycle, the second shot would cycle but ejection would be noticeably shorter, then the third shot case would just dribble out and not feed the fourth. It was like a paintball gun running out of gas.

The D/A gas block is a nice piece, but I suspect Romanian tolerance stacking, Russian subsonic ammo, and me not being a gunsmith added to the difficulties.

Ugh

Got bored yesterday at home in West va

Figured

I have the following

.30 alignment rod

Rearden m14x1lh spb and shims

Blue locktite should I wanna change the muzzle brake later

And I siad to myself finally I can use my hybrid 46 on a rifle

I cleaned the threads and mocked it with the rod and 1 shim to see

Iy bottomed against the fsb

So I added the thinner shims and applied some locktite

Something felt wrong cause I felt alot of resistance

I removed the brake and this is what I got

Attachment Attached File

I immediately looked at the threads

The original 45 degree brake went on smooth but now I seriously reconsidering using any face mount brake and go pbs1 or clone of Russian suppressor with the zpap m70

And what can I use to fixed the bluing I stripped at the 6 o'clock position?

I just chase the threads with a die.

I've had the same issue with US made adapters for AK, although my issue was for a 24x1 FSB. The combloc muzzle device would fit on all my rifles but the US device would not thread on. So I chased the threads with a die and then it fit fine. I think US companies are still trying to do things too fine sometimes.

As for the bluing, just get some cold blue or wait for it to carbon up, either way it will be protected.
