Went to the range today and it pushed my C39V2 over the 1k mark so I thought I give a little check-up review of the rifle thus far.
Had some solid 1.5 MOA 3 shot groups today with Tula 122 FMJ. Just as usual I had zero issues with feeding, loading, firing, or ejecting. The rifle has never had a single failure of any type. The factory RAK-1 trigger is really arrived into its own now. It is super light (~3lbs) and has a short distinctive reset. It is and has always been a joy to shoot.
I did a field strip clean when I got home and the parts all look pristine, save some finish wear. Note from the pictures that I use an early milled telescopic recoil guide rod with the factory supplied Wolf Xtra Power recoil spring. This doesn't indicate any problem with the factory "coat hanger" guide, its just a preference of mine.
Finally for the cleaned up appearance. This rifle is still as impressive to look at as the day I first opened the box. I have never seen another AK of any manufacture that looks as well finished as this one. The nitride finish on the receiver and barrel have a satin level sheen and it is simply awesome looking still.
Beautiful Day!
