They left enough room for the sling loop to stick out, but not enough to actually clip anything to it....maybe a paper clip lol, but not a sling hook. |

IMHO Magpul manages heat better and has a wider more comfortable grip. Hogue has a more traditional look. Unless I'm wearing gloves I'd take the Magpul.
Still can't beat a Hogue grip though... |
