SLR-107CR cut down to be AK-104ish.

The only thing I'm not completely satisfied with is the booster not timing quite right, due to it being a Russian type booster on a Bulgarian gas block.

Check with Chris Butler of AK-103; he's making a run of boosters that are time for Bulgarian gas blocks.

Haven't posted mine in a while. Just recently added the TDI handguard. I like it alright, but don't really need it. Will probably go back to the standard handguard.

My Jim Fuller built AK-105, previously owned by Gabriel Suarez as his 'Insurgent Combat Rifle'. It has an AK-100 polymer stock, Ultimak Scout Rail, Krebs Custom Guns Mk VI Enhanced Safety Selector Lever (Best selector lever on earth for a lefty like me), Surefire Mini Scout on a Magpul Mount, Magpul MOE AK grip. Needs to be refinished in black.

It's a great gun.

Why not just purchase a SLR-107CR? While they are demanding a higher price these days, seems less costly than converting an SGL.

Because Arsenal SLR is banned here, SGL are not.

there is a company that makes a replica Bulgy one.

jmac-customs is their gb user name. Good price too. I'm looking for an original, but will most likely end up with one of theirs.

Orrrr. You could notch the booster for your gb...  If you don't mind tainting your Russian booster

I wouldn't do that, not to an original Russian. There are enough guys that need a Russian booster it would be better to sell it than mess with it IMO

Form 1 was approved today!!!! Will get better pics this weekend

cur it long. Thinking suppressor in the future. Threaded it 14X1 LH, 11 degree crown

I also cut down and welded the cleaning rod back together. I am a complete noob at welding, so it's not that great, but will work and function.

Nictra, food for though... I'm not sure if anyone makes a 14x1 LH thread protector but those threads are going to get jammed up with carbon very quickly.  The 105 looks good though

Question. Do the Bulgarian 104/105s have a smooth dust cover like the Russians, or do they have the ribbed covers?
