Nice find...It def lowers the profile...sniper can get lower in cover this way.....

It kinda looks like some kind of NVG scope?

I've never seen that before, either. I wonder if that marksman had a proprietary mount made to keep his profile lower? Very neat.

looks like they mounted a weaver / 1913 style scope some how to the side rail vs. on top of it where it should go.
odd to say the least, but still - if its able to assist in putting rounds downrange its still a valid threat to someone / something. |

Something has been rigged/modified to fit and make do..
ETA- (as stated above) It looks like it was meant to mount on a picatinny 1913 rail but fastened on and maybe here they are trying to site it in. |
