I received my Izzy plum 74 mags from Circle 10 with some extra text art. We are trying to translate it.

Thanks!

Thanks. I've been here for some time but finally registered over the summer.

We used Google translate to figure out it was Bulgarian plus a couple of words but now we are stuck. Someone at INGO suggested I try AR15.

Welcome to Arfcom.

I would Google "translate", and go from there.

It's Bulgarian, the horizontal photo says Mime, (Pronounced Mee may) I love you.

Mime is a nickname for a girl named Maria.

I can't make out the letters in the second photo, If you could post another I can help.  The beginning says Mima, a different form of the nickname for Maria, If you care I can explain the difference in Mime/Mima.

ETA:I lived in Bulgaria for two years and would LOVE a Bulgarian souvenir.  Let me know if you decide to sell it.

So the writing written vertically is Mima, then the name svishtov, a town on the Danube, the border with Romania.  So your Bulgarian soldier was probably from Svishtov or was in love with a girl named Maria from there.

Cool!

ETA: if you want the original Cyrillic to copy and paste or show later here it is.  The one with the town name is the second one.  I added what would be the correct punctuation.

Never mind, ar15.com doesn't accept cyrllic, if you want it send me a pm with your email.

As always, I am fluent but try asking a Bulgarian if you get the opportunity, maybe I missed something.  If you try writing over the scratched out writing on Microsoft paint in a different color I could try translating that.
