The basics I bought a case of Norinco ammo form a local guy who is moving .it is marked CSI LA on one side of the crate . I hate to crack it open to identify it . Here are 2 pictures


The markings in the second picture are 7.62 x39 SC on one of the end handles

It's been a long time since I've seen one of those crates,my guess is this is whats inside.

Been a long time since I have seen one of those,but if I remember correctly the 1100 round case
would be loaded 10 round stripper clips in bundles of three wrapped in paper.

Would you believe I still have some of that old copper-wash, yellow-box norinco stuff... Fmj and SP both. Not much, just a few hundred left from back in 91-92 or so. IIRC, it was something like $84 shipped for 1200 rounds back then.

It looks like the metal band (strapping) on your case has already been cut. If so, pry it open and check out what is inside. You can always leave the stuff inside alone and put the top back on.

It is not cut it has slipped about 2 inches over . It is still banded shut . That is why I did not want to open it .
