What ammo brands have 7.62 with a lead core bullet (not the "bi-metal")? Need something that won't damage steel targets.

Bi-metal refers to the jacket. All of the usual suspects from Russia, etc are lead core and won't damage steel.

If it is a range issue or request, there are offerings from PPU, Fiocchi, Hornady, Red Army Standard, Arsenal, Winchester, Federal, PMC, Sellier & Bellot, Lapua (and some I am forgetting) that will work.

I've used steel jacketed ammo up to 7.62x54r on steel and none of it damages steel targets as long as they are not some sort of jimmy rigged metal targets of the incorrect hardness, even copper jacketed ammo will damage soft steel.
