I was looking into buy a nodak spud receiver but they are out of stock and they have the blem receivers in stock.These have scattered surface imperfections due to light corrosion prior to the black oxide finish. i was wondering if anyone ever bought one and how bad are they with the rust and if it can be fixed. should I purchase a blem receive or wait till they get more back in stock??

I haven't used one but how hard can it be to clean up? A good bead blasting and paint should take care of it.

Just to be on the safe side you may want to give it a good boil then soak in some evaporust solution to get at "any rust that walks behind the rails".
