I don't, not normally. I clean my PMAGs, but I usually don't shoot those. for practice and training I use aluminum mags and I generally don't clean them. I am thinking I should start though. A few in heavy rotation are starting to get a good build up of funk.

Still haven't had a mag related failure though.

I do not take them apart. I just wipe the top of the follower with CLP.

When I shoot/train in the rain and I get my gear wet when I get home I will take apart the magazines, dry, inspect, put an extremely light coat of CLP via a cloth/rag on the spring, reassemble and call it a day.  All of my Pmags I will disassemble when I first get them, wipe down the spring with CLP as above mentioned and store them and do the same with USGI mags as well.  I do this with rifle and pistol mags.

Yes I clean them.  That's probably why I have mags I brought back from both Berlin in 61 (M14) and 67 VN (Colt 20 rounders)

A 12ga bore mop on a pistol rod with dawn dish soap works great.

Only if I drop them in mud, or they seem to have a lot of sand and grit in them.

I usually just wipe off the follower, but if I'm dropping mags in dirt/sand, or its been a while,I break  down and run a rag through em
