Not really a fan of the extra tension springs on a short rig is not needed, since it just has the bolt moving back to lock up faster and can cause problems with the disco not holding the hammer if the free gap timing is not correct.
As for buffers, T2 is 4oz, H1 is 3.8oz, H2 is 4.6oz and a H3 is 4.6oz.
So really, if you have standard carbine buffer 2.9oz, and a H3 buffer on hand, then you can use the two to start swapping internal weights to come up with anything in the entire range of H buffers.
If you need to go heaver than the H3 and don't have a lathe spin one up,

Now the last thing to remember, the heaver the buffer, the more felt recoils you going to get out of the rig. So if you do need to go to a heaver buffer, just go heavy enough that it will still lock the bolt back, and no more.
But lets digress and get back to the mags that are having problems. You stated that the P mags where not having this problem and could be that is just the mag spring alone that may be weak in the mags that did have double feeds is causing the problem isntead. So again, what brand name mags are having this problem, and what round count do the mags have on the springs.
